Finding a Science Fair Topic
Fourth Grade: you will select a topic that involves an experiement with water or weather.
Read through the websites (below) for ideas that sound interesting to YOU, then talk to Mr. Jaye about your idea.
You can also try a simple google search for, weather science fair projects elementary or water science fair projects elementary
Fifth Grade: select a topic and design a testable question involving either:
- Mixtures and solutions
- Forces & motion
- Plants
Research for science fair ideas, all topics and areas
These websites will help you select a science fair project idea, and do research on that topic.
Remember:
1) you need to select an experiment that is testable!
2) you can "borrow" someone's idea from one of these sites, because you have to run the experiment yourself, and show your own results.
